(Persia Digest) - New Year’s Day and religious ceremonies were held at Saint Sarkis Cathedral in Tehran with the presence of bishop Sebouh Sarkissian and the Armenian-Iranian residents of Tehran. New Year’s Day is celebrated on January 1. This is a great global celebration. New Year's Eve is celebrated on December 31, in accordance with the birth of Christ or the Baptism of Christ in Christian and even non-Christian countries. Christmas is also celebrated on the seventh day of January by Orthodox Christians.
