(Persia Digest) - The historical city of Masuleh has cold, snowy winters due to its geographical location and mountain climate, which greatly enhances the beauty of this tourist city.
Masuleh is a small city with a beautiful and historical architecture located in the southwest of the Caspian Sea, in southwestern Guilan’s high-elevation forests in a beautiful natural setting. The altitude of the village is 1050 meters above sea level and it has a mountain climate with cool summers and cold, snowy winters. The beauty and significance of Masuleh is due to the stepped architecture of the houses built on a relatively steep slope which is almost vertical, facing a huge rocky castle. The houses are skilfully built in a stepped-like manner and most of them have two storeys. The roof of a house is another house’s yard. This style of construction is the architectural style of villages in Iran during the Sassanid era.
