(Persia Digest) - Barm-e Delak Sassanid rock relief, located 10 kilometers east of Shiraz, is an ancient monument which belongs to the Sassanid era.
Barm-e Delak is considered a historic cultural site of Shiraz dating back to the Sassanid era around 1800 years ago. On this rock relief, the images of three Sassanid kings are carved in the mountain, and a spring, also called Barm is at the foot of it.
According to the latest research carried out on this monument, it was discovered that the Barm-e Delak image belongs to Bahram II, the Sassanid king. However, in some historical documents, it is incorrectly attributed to Zarathustra.
