(Persia Digest) - Saravan Forest Park, located on the western part of Rasht-Tehran Road, is unique in Iran and even the world due to its green marsh and various plant species.
Saravan Forest Park is located 15 km away from Rasht, northern Iran. There is a small green marsh known as Saravan Marsh at the outset of this forest park. There are interesting tree species near the lagoon. The trees of Saravan Forest Park are divided into two groups: natural and planted. The natural part of the park consists of oak, common hornbeam and Persian ironwood as well as alder and field elm species. The planted part includes the loblolly pine, Scots pine, Arizona cypress and Mediterranean cypress.
