Renowned Iranian neurosurgeon and medical scientist, Professor Samii, has answered a letter written to him by Iranian students.
Professor Majid Samii is currently the head of the International Neuroscience Institute (INI), based in Hanover.
He is a role model for many Iranian students and teenagers who are dreaming of building their country.

To this end, students in a private elementary school in Gonbad Kavous, northern Iran, wrote a cover letter to Professor Samii and sent him a notebook of their hopes and wishes with small gifts to show him the path they had chosen to knowledge and science.
Professor Majid Samii also sent a reply to them, thanking them for their kind words, and saying: “The fact that our young Iranian children dream of making a bright future from elementary school makes us Iranians hope for a much better future for our country.”

In the end, Samii hopes for an opportunity to meet the children.
Persia Digest (PD) reports that Majid Samii is one of Iran’s most distinguished neurosurgeons known in the world. The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) selected him as World top neurosurgeon and Golden Neuron Award Winner in 2014. He is the Honorary President of The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
In 1988, former German chancellor Gerhard Schröder hailed Professor Samii for his medical contribution to neuroscience. He also received the 2014 Leibniz Ring Prize for bringing 100 young African surgeons to Germany to training them to train other physicians in Africa upon their return.
