(Persia Digest) - ‘Mythos Persien’ penned by Austrian Iranologist, Karl Gratzl, has been published in Austrian.

The book, written in 506 pages, is an illustrated encyclopedia of ancient Persian history and culture and the pre-Islamic history of countries along the Silk Road.

‘Mythos Persien’ is an important reference book for all those interested in the history and culture of the East, and archaeologists and researchers in the fields of history, geography, and religions.

Karl Gratzl was in charge of the oriental section at Academy Publishers in the 80s. During his time in Iran, he climbed Mount Damavand with the Gratz climbing group. Subsequently, he published a book with Robert Kostka entitled ‘De Damavand in Iran beklimmen’.
