(Persia Digest) - The 17th Native Games Festival was held on Thursday and Friday, July 25 and 26, in Javaherdasht, Guilan Province, northern Iran.
Javaherdasht is a village in the city of Chaboksar, Guilan Province, at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level.
The festival included events such as volleyball matches, horse riding, tug of war, darts, lafand bazi, pahlevani and zourkhaneh rituals, the strongest man in the village, arous-baran [givin away the bride] carnival and Guile-mardi wrestling.
