(Persia Digest) – The Commander of IRGC Navy’s 2nd Naval Region has announced the seizure of a foreign ship and its crew smuggling 700 thousand liters of fuel in the Persian Gulf.

Commander Ramezan Zirahi told Fars News: “On Wednesday evening, 31 July, at 21h30 hours local time, IRGC patrol boats for the 2nd Naval Region arrested a foreign ship carrying smuggled fuel based on information provided.”

He stated: “The foreign vessel had received fuel from other ships and was carrying it to the Persian Gulf littoral states. It was seized near Farsi Island in coordination with the judicial authorities.”
