(Persia Digest) - Tehran will be hosting the 19th Traditional Theater Festival

13-16August.

Narrative music, Siaah-baazi, Naghali, Ghadir narration, black narration and Pardeh khani (variations of Iranian religious and traditional storytelling) are among the festival's programs which will be held from 21h00-23h00 at Kazemi House Museum.

Groups from several cities across Iran will be taking part in the festival and the closing ceremony will be held at the Sangelaj Theater on 17August.

Persia Digest reports that the Traditional Theater Festival is one of the most important and mainstream artistic events, focusing on Iranian and indigenous performances as well as recitation of traditions and rituals, in which diverse and multifarious ethnic, traditional, geographical, and social groups perform.
