(Persia Digest) – Tajik Air has added a new flight between Dushanbe-Mashhad in northeastern Iran.

Flight 107 will depart on Tuesdays and Fridays every week at 10h00 and flight 108 will return at 11h00.

A 250-seat Boeing 767 will fly the route in economy and business class.

Persia Digest (PD) reports that Varesh Airlines has been flying to Dushanbe since June and the new schedule will increase the number of flights on this route.

Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport in Mashhad is Iran’s second busiest airport after Mehrabad in Tehran. An average of 180 flights daily increasing to 250 daily during the peak season depart and arrive in Mashhad.

Mashhad is Iran’s second largest city and a pilgrimage destination. The tomb of Imam Reza (AS), the 8th Shia Imam, is in this pilgrimage and touristic city.
