(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Head of the Judiciary pointed to the release of the Iranian supertanker Adrian Darya 1 (Grace 1) by the Gibraltar court, adding that legal follow-ups were necessary for compensation.

Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi said the release of the oil tanker by court order was another defeat for the enemy in recent days, stressing: “This lengthy seizure cannot be compensated by releasing the tanker and damages must be paid with legal follow-ups. Let this be a lesson to all those who break international laws.”

Persia Digest (PD) reports that Grace 1 was seized about 45 days ago by UK marines in the Strait of Gibraltar under the pretext of breaking sanctions imposed on Syria. But the court in Gibraltar had to release the supertanker as the claim was unsubstantiated.
