(Persia Digest) – The Managing Director of Tehran’s fire brigade has announced that it will be equipped with drones by February 2019 for specific operations.

Mahdi Davari said: “We will be upgraded to new technologies as per the demands of Tehran’s fire brigade and security services. One of these is the use of drones.”

He added: “Drones will be used in special operations and may not be suitable everywhere. Two drones will be purchased as a pilot project and more will be added as and when necessary.”

According to Davari, drones can be used in the detection stage, especially in widespread fires, thus reducing the extinguishing time.
