(Persia Digest) – The first joint cultural event will be held by artists from Iran and Turkmenistan as “Iran-Turkmenistan joint cultural nights” from Thursday 22 August in Bojnourd, northeastern Iran.

A 20-strong delegation of Turkmen artisans and folk customs will participate in the program on the invitation of the Iranian cultural attaché in Ashghabat.

The event aims to raise mutual cultural awareness between the two neighboring countries and will be held over two nights with stands set up especially for handicrafts at the “Besh Qardash” recreational facilities in Bojnourd.

Persia Digest (PD) reports that, following the first Nowruz celebration between Iran and Turkmenistan in Bajgiran, this event is the next step by the cultural authorities of Iran intended to increase such connections between the two nations.
