Hassan Rouhani attended the project location on Tuesday morning in Tehran and issued the order for the start of work on the construction of 110 thousand residential units across Iran.
Under the national housing action project, the Iranian President has mandated all organizations that all surplus land must be given to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development for residential buildings in order to lay the groundwork for a boom in the construction sector and compensate for shortfalls in recent years.
Economic growth, job creation, and increased employment in related sectors such as industry, production, and services are other goals of the project in Iran.
In addition to Tehran, the project will also be implemented in the provinces of Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan, Isfahan, Hormozgan, and Chahar Mahal & Bakhtiari.

The remainder will be implemented by the year-end. According to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development the houses will be delivered to the people in two years.
