(Persia Digest) – The MAKS-2019 biennial air show in Russia was opened by President Vladimir Putin at the Zhukovsky International Airport in Moscow.

Over 800 companies from 35 countries are participating at the show, including knowledge-based companies of the Iranian Defense Ministry and the Science and Technology Vice-Presidency Office. Iran is displaying its latest aerospace achievements at the exhibition.

Expanding the export of aviation industry technologies, technical and commercial cooperation, as well as combating the effects of cruel sanctions on the country's aviation industry are among the goals of Iranian aviation experts, industrialists, and the airline industry.

Iran has already participated in this exhibition previously and is expected to showcase its drones, helicopters, and jet engine drones at this year's exhibition.

The exhibition will run until 1 September.
