With the return of sustained peace to Damascus, Syria, the first Isfahan-Damascus flight after eight years carried Isfahani pilgrims to Hazrat Zeinab (SA) Shrine, sister of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hossein (AS).
The Syrian Cham Wings flight took off for the capital Damascus today, Tuesday. A weekly flight on Tuesdays will fly 170 pilgrims to Syria.
Isfahan’s Shahid Beheshti International Airport is Iran’s second airport after Imam Khomeini (RA) Airport in Tehran which has re-established the flight route to Syria.
