(Persia Digest) – Shadegan International Wetlands are in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran, south of the city of Shadegan. Jarrahi River provides most of the water for the wetlands with a rich biodiversity and numerous tourist attractions.
Shadegan, also known as Hour Alfalahieh, is one of few wetlands inscribed by Unesco.
The surrounding villages are connected by boat rides and the main residents here live in Sorakhieh and Ragabeh villages.
