(Persia Digest) – The third stage of “The Feast of Blossoms” to support students in low-income families in this year’s scholastic year has been held across Iran.

Persia Digest (PD) reports that “The Feast of Blossoms” is an annual event which takes place at the end of summer every year just before school opening time to collect aid for students who need it and spread the culture of charity and helping the needy. Help is collected across Iran and divided between students.

This takes place in three stages. The first two stages happen in September around town where stands are put up in the streets, public places, mosques, and Friday prayer venues to collect donations by the public.

Stage three takes place after schools have opened. On 2 October this year, the third stage was set in motion with the slogan “Make a dream with the colors of love in October”. Envelopes were given to students who could afford to donate money which will be collected by school staff and the Imam Khomeini (RA) Relief Committee. This will also teach children charity and helpfulness towards others.

“The Feast of Blossoms” is organized by Imam Khomeini (RA) Relief Committee in association with IRIB and the Ministry of Education.
