Chinese finance for aircraft purchase
After months of negotiations, a Chinese company agreed to fund the purchase of Iran Airs’ airliners. According to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Iran Air and a Chinese company signed an MoU to enable the company to finance the purchase of Iran Airs’ airliners.
Heavy snow creates rare incident in Airport
Heavy snow has created havoc in Tehran, from traffic congestions to power cuts in parts of the capital. But, today also saw a rare incident at Mehrabad Airport. An Iran Air Fokker 100 tail-heavy with snow lost its balance, causing its nose to lift up into the air. It was as if the plane had pulled a wheelie and was doing a catwalk.
Two ATR planes fly to Iran soon
ATR turboprop maker CEO has said that two more aircrafts will be delivered to Iran by the end of 2017. Following an agreement with the Italian-French company, six aircrafts have already been delivered to Iran.
