St Thaddeus Monastery annual ceremony & pilgrimage
St Thaddeus Monastery, also known as Kara Kilise, will be holding its 64th religious ceremony in Chaldoran, in Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province, from Thursday 12 July 2018.
“Paris Cultural Week” in Isfahan

Director of the Unesco World Heritage Center for the churches of Iran announced: “We intend to register the religious ceremony of the Thaddeus Monastery in Azerbaijan, northeastern Iran, as a Unesco Intabgible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

Christmas is around the corner and Christians in Iran are getting ready to celebrate the New Year like everywhere else. A Christian lady in Tehran says happily: “For us, Christmas, Easter, Yalda winter solstice, or the Iranian Nowruz New Year are no different from one another, because they are all causes for celebration.”
