Global welcome for 36th Fajr Film Festival
The International Fajr Film Festival began its registration of foreign films in Iran from 1 November 2017. It has been greatly welcomed by credible film production and distribution companies globally. To date, 682 films from 35 countries have registered to take part at the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
“Searing Summer” release date makes producer unhappy
In an interview with Persia Digest, Javad Noruzbegui, the producer of “Searing Summer” said he was unhappy with the release date of his feature film, which was earmarked for an earlier screening.
Alizadeh goes global
The international album entitled “Gham Nume-ye Fereidun” [The Sorrows of Fereidun], composed by Hossein Alizadeh, will be on sale online from 17 October 2017.
Tehran hosts Angelopoulos films
Eleven films directed by Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos (1970-2009) will be screened at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art from 16 August – 19 September.
