Performing Iranian and Armenian Music in Tehran
Iran’s Artists Forum will be hosting the Ghanoun string quartet in its Ostad Shahnaz Salon in the first part of a two-part performance, the second half of which will be a fusion of Iranian and Armenian music.
Five bands perform in Tehran
With the end of the mourning period for the two lunar months of Muharram and Safar in Iran, five bands from Austria, Germany, Sweden, and Azerbaijan will play their fusion and traditional music in Tehran in December.
Kayhan Kalhor collection of albums at 53
Kayhan Kalhor will turn 53 on 24 November and a collection of albums by this prominent musician will be published in Iran on the occasion.
Kayhan Kalhor-Rembrandt Trio fusion
Following his European tour, Kayhan Kalhor, the prominent player of string instrument Kamancheh, played with the Rembrandt Trio at the Ministry of the Interior Hall in Tehran on the 5-6 September and was met with a large audience.

(Persia Digest) - Tandisi Az Sarāb [Statue of a mirage] by Dārkoob Band is largely arranged for percussion instruments. It is a fusion of traditional Persian ghazal and vocals and western music. The enjoyable space created by the music and the fairly long-drawn style of singing has created a pleasant polarization.

Artist: Bazaaris Band
(Persia Digest) – The “Mantra Lullaby” by the fusion music band Bazaaris, from the album “Clouds”, has been released by Hermes publications in Iran. The band members are from Iran, Switzerland, and Sweden.

Sari Galin (music)
Artists: Mahsa Vahdat & Mighty Sam McClain

(Persia Digest) – Sari Galin is an old folk song well-known in Central Asian countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran. It is fused with the blues in this piece and performed with different lyrics. Mahsa Vahdat performs the Persian version of the song. She is known and loved for experiencing the various spaces of fusion music.
The first worship (music)
Artist: Amir Rajabi
(Persia Digest) – “The first worship” from the “SMS” album is an instrumental piece composed by Amir Rajabi. The piece does, however, incorporate short singing passages and vocals. But the main theme here is instrumental. This can be classified as fusion music.

(Persia Digest) – The album Raz-e Afarinesh [The secret of creation] has been composed based on 13th–century poet Molana’s lyrics. The vocals of this fusion music are performed by Eugene Gilfedder and melodic and percussion instruments from Iran are played together with electronic instruments.
