Iran’s Minister of Economy is dismissed
Following the recent economic turmoil and failure of the government to control the situation, the Iranian Minister of Economy was impeached by the Islamic Consultative Assembly and was eventually dismissed.
Iran’s Labor Minister is dismissed
Unhappy with his explanations, the Members of Parliament at Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly voted for the impeachment of Ali Rabiei, Iran’s Minster of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare.
Minister of Agriculture impeachment gets no vote
Following a day of impeachments for the two ministers of Labor and Road & Urban Development by MPs in the Iranian Parliament, Majlis, getting no votes, the impeachment of the Minister of Agriculture was on the agenda of this morning’s session. As in previous cases, MPs pro and against the impeachment spoke and Minister Mahmoud Hojjati defended his performance.
Two ministers impeached in the Iranian Parliament
The main agenda of today's (Tuesday, 22 March 2010) session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran was the impeachment of the two ministers of Labor and Roads and Urban Development ousing. During the morning session, MPs reviewed the draft of the impeachment for Ali Rabiei, Iran's Minister of Labor. Those for and against the impeachment stated their reasons and the Minister of Labor defended his position and answered questions by the opposition, following which votes were cast for his ministerial seat in the cabinet.
