Success of documentary on footwriter
The Iranian documentary “Footwriting” [Panegar], by Sa’adat-Ali Saeidpour, takes a look at the life of Rahim Azimi, the disabled artist from Tabriz, northwester Iran, who uses his feet for his daily routines, university studies, and his artworks. The documentary has been accepted at the Kolkata International Film Festival in India.
Iranian artists can return home
Speaking about the return of artists who emigrated from Iran, Mohammad-Esmaeil Saeidi, Member of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, said: “All those artists who are not guilty of any crimes or committed acts against the national security of Iran can return home; there are no restrictions in this regard.”
Iranian artist opens expo in Istanbul
An exhibition by Iranian artist Ahad Sa’di has opened in a commercial center in Istanbul. An introductory meeting was held on 9 June 2018 with Ahad Sa’di, the creative artist who has invented “Azarnegari” which, instead of using paint and paper, is the art of using fire to fuse pieces of fabric together to create a piece of art.
