Zibakalam: Iran's economic crisis result of anti-US policies
In an open letter to Hossein Shariatmadari, Editor-in-Chief of the conservative “Kayhan” newspaper, Dr Sadegh Zibakalam, Professor of Political Sciences at the University of Tehran wrote: “The current economic crisis in Iran is the result of forty years of insistence on anti-US policies, the destruction of Israel, and export of the revolution.”

World Academy of Sciences medal for Iranian professor
Afsaneh Safavi, the full professor of Chemistry at Shiraz University won the Lecture Medal from the World Academy of Sciences of Italy. Since 1996, the World Academy of Sciences for the developing countries (TWAS) every year awards the prized TWAS Lecture Medal in science and technology to one of the members of the Academy who had a significant contribution in advancement of science and technology. All of the developing countries and a number of European and American states are members of the World Academy of Sciences.
