Iranian Youth Cinema Society in collaboration with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network in Iran are staging a European Film Week in Tabriz this week. The European Film Week, which was staged in Tehran recently at the Cinema Museum in association with EUNIC headed by Alexander Rigger and represented by Thomas Kloiber, began work in Tabriz today by screening four films.

Leili Afshar receives 1st ‘Gordafarid’ badge

The Sahnameh Researchers and Narrators Society has designed the first Badge of Honor named after ‘Gordafarid’ – a Shahnameh Heroine – for prominent Iranian women. Leili Afshar, prominent guitar player, will be the first woman to receive the Badge of Honor.
