Nowruz added to Vancouver’s calendar
Vancouver City Council has included Nowruz (the Iranian New Year) in its calendar to recognize the spiritual heritage of its Iranian and other dual nationality residents who celebrate the first day of spring.
Alireza Ghorbani in concert with Vancouver Opera Orchestra
The concert “Nagahan Rastakhiz” [And then resurrection] will take place on 21 December 2018 at the Vancouver Orpheum theater and music venue. Vocalist Alireza Ghorbani will be accompanied by the Vancouver Opera Orchestra conducted by Leslie Dala, and the Bach choir. Pieces by Ahmad Pejman and Houshang Kamkar will be performed.
