Hezbollah's Shura Council chose Hashem Safi al-Din as Secretary-General of the Lebanese movement, after the killing of Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on Friday. Sources reported this to Al-Arabiya channel, while Hezbollah's Al-Manar channel has stopped publishing the news until now.

Safi al-Din (59 years old) has long been considered Nasrallah's “right hand man.”He is a reserved but strong man, responsible for Hezbollah's financial and organizational management. Although he was not a prominent public face, he played a crucial role in the internal management of the party, leaving strategic and political leadership to his older cousin.
