TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taiwanese American basketball player Jeremy Lin (林書豪) has confirmed his diagnosis of coronavirus after being vaccinated.
On his way back to China during the annual summer tour, the last thing Lin thought would happen, actually happened. Lynn shared on his Facebook page on Saturday (August 7) that he tested positive for COVID-19 despite being vaccinated and tested negative before leaving twice.
During the third day of quarantine in China, Lin was confirmed to have mild symptoms of COVID. The homesick athlete said he struggled psychologically while receiving treatment in a Shanghai hospital and feared his illness would be much worse without the vaccination.
Lin urged those still unsure about vaccination to do so. As for vaccination, he said they’re still being careful because the new variants are no joke.
The athlete described the injury as “the latest curveball”, as he is keen to start training again as soon as possible.
