The XBox Series X and both versions of the Playstation 5 will go on sale at Walmart at 9AM PT on Monday, but there’s a catch: You have to be a Walmart+ member to take advantage of the deal. If you’ve been chasing these coveted consoles since their release last year, this is a no-brainer deal, but it’s worth explaining how Walmart+ works anyway.
A Walmart+ subscription works similar to Amazon Prime and gives you free Walmart shipping, discounts at Walmart gas stations, contactless checkout and access to early deals just like these video game consoles. You can sign up for a free 15-day trial, but unfortunately, this deal won’t be available to trial members – you need to buy the full membership to get the PS5 or Xbos Series X.
Walmart+ costs $12.95 a month, or $98 a year.
XBox Series X for $499 at Walmart
Playstation 5 was released on November 12, 2020, but it remained one of the hardest electronic devices to get hold of, as shoppers struggle to find models in stock and often resort to inflated prices. The Xbox Series X was released two days ago on November 10, 2020, and suffered a similar shortfall.
Popular PS5 games include “Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” while XBox Series X brought back its first-ever flagship series, “Halo: Infinite.” Other famous titles, such as “Call of Duty: Vanguard” And “Assassin’s Creed: ValhallaOn both consoles, and since consoles typically have a lifespan of 5 to 7 years before they replace (Playstation 4 and XBox One both released in 2013) we can expect more titles for both. Heck, we might see some video games that don’t. It has a colon in the title A man can dream.
