There has been a sharp drop in interest for the keyword “metaverse” in Google searches. However, while the hype may be waning, it appears that companies are still very interested in diving into the virtual world.
In March alone, companies released or revealed plans to build metaverse offices that can be used for online meetings with international clients, in-house innovation centers, and to improve social interaction with users.
While we may be seeing earlier versions of it, the metaverse desks look like a sneak peek into the future of work. With this in, we take a look at some of the companies that have recently entered the metaverse.
Atom Events establishes Metaverse office
Atom, a Mumbai-based events company, has recently set up its metaverse office. The company has purchased a digital space in Decentraland and plans to use the virtual office as a new way to reach its international clients. The company also plans to use it in future metaverse events.
Yash Kalshirashta, chief creative officer of Atom, said in a Interview This move aims to expand the company’s global operations and meet the needs of the younger generations. “The younger generation who is growing up today finds that completely normal,” said Kulshreshtha.
KuCoin Exchange Launched KuCoin Meta . Desk
Digital asset exchange KuCoin has launched a desk based on Bloktopia Digital Space. In a press release, the trading platform revealed its KuCoin Meta Desk. The office aims to provide an immersive metaverse experience for its visitors, as well as access to interactive social networking.
Johnny Liu, CEO of KuCoin, said this achievement helps drive adoption into the metaverse and blockchain. “KuCoin is exploring application scenarios for metaverse and blockchain technology,” said Liu.

Bjarke Ingels designs the first virtual office
Leading architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group has worked with Nas Media creative agency Virtue Futures to design a new metaverse office located in Decentraland. The digital space, dubbed “The Viceverse Office,” will become a hub for Vice Media Group employees.
In an interview with Morten Groback, CEO of Virtue Futures describe it The office as a ‘experimental playground’. According to Grubak, the office is allowing its teams to experiment with non-fungible tokens, decentralized autonomous organizations, and Web3.
SCB 10x reveals plans to launch a Sandbox-based office
SCB 10x, the investment arm of Siam Commercial Bank, has revealed plans to launch a Sandbox-based virtual office. According to the announcement, the office will be launched later in 2022 and will make sure to connect with the global community of builders.
In addition to connecting with the community, the digital office will allow visitors to attend events, join product demos, and visit uniquely created environments.
