Apple is bringing macOS to the iPad

San Francisco: The tech giant Apple is said to be working on bringing the macOS experience to future iPads. The news comes from Patently Apple, where the team discovered in the US Patent and Trademark Office database that the tech giant recently got a detachable laptop-like iPad experience running on a macOS-like experience, GizmoChina reports. Apple employees criticize company’s new work-from-home policy in open letter: report.

The patent offered iPad is a tablet and has a hinged keyboard attachment that allows the tablet to be seamlessly attached to the keyboard via a specialized coupling mechanism. The report said that the keyboard also acts as a case that protects the iPad’s screen from external conditions, similar to what you’ll find in a laptop.

According to the patent illustrations, the iPad will have a macOS-like user interface to improve the user experience with the keyboard. The patent also revealed that the Apple Pencil can now be placed inside the hinge that secures the iPad to the keyboard. A port interface such as USB-C will also be installed on the hinge.

As for the camera, projectors, light, and microphone, the patent reveals that Apple is taking a somewhat peculiar approach in that these features are seen as additional accessories instead, which are then clipped onto the hinge if needed, and disassembled when not present. .
