Mexico City. – Walmart de México y Centroamérica has announced the expansion of Bait’s prepaid phone service, to include all of its business forms (Walmart, Walmart Express, Superama, Bodega Aurrera and Sam’s Club), nationwide.
Since its launch in June 2020, Bait has more than 700,000 users and is available in more than 2,600 company stores and clubs in Mexico.
In addition, Bait now includes a new home internet service, with a capacity of up to 120GB.
We recommend: Cinedot, the movie theater chain that will rival Cinépolis and Cinemex
Walmart’s suggestion is to offer some kind of prepaid internet at home. No contracts required or fixed deadlines, it is easily installed at home and multiple devices can be connected.
For example, there are 7-day internet packages for 79 pesos, while there are other 30-day packages for 299 pesos.
To contract it, it is necessary to check whether service coverage is available, near the house in which the installation is planned. In some cases, proximity to Walmart stores will be key. Also, you only need to buy the modem.
Recharge for more internet can be done at home online 24 hours a day, or also from participating stores.
With Bait, Walmart de México y Centroamérica makes a proposal that consists of three things:
- low prices. It has unlimited calling, data, voice and text services. From 50 pesos, customers can enjoy 20 GB for 20 days or for only 100 pesos unlimited internet for 30 days.
- More coverage. Bait has nationwide coverage, as well as in the US and Canada, with 4.5 LTE speed to get around faster.
- Extra megabytes. For every purchase made in any Walmart de México stores and clubs, customers and partners are rewarded with additional megabytes, through the Mi Bait app.
