Final Fantasy – Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker has been delayed by two weeks. An epic launch announcement came out.

I am very sorry to announce that this is very close to launch, but I have made the decision to postpone the launch of Endwalker. The original release date was set for Tuesday, November 23, 2021. However, I have decided to postpone the release by two weeks. Accordingly, the expansion will now appear on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

There are several reasons for the delay, but since I’m the one who’s overseeing all aspects of the game as head of the project, the responsibility for that rests solely with me. Let me sincerely apologize to our players, Warriors of Light, for looking forward so much to the release of Endwalker. I really regret it. The biggest factor behind the release date change was my selfishness as a game director. Since I took over the original FFXIV, I have been developing and operating FFXIV for the past 11 years. During this time I always tried to balance my position as a producer who oversaw the project and a manager who supervised development. I intended to continue working in this way as we approach the final phase of Endwalker development.
