Trump: Israel must strike Iranian nuclear sites

Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the White House, believes that Israel should strike Iranian nuclear facilities in response to Iran's recent missile launches. Speaking at a campaign event in North Carolina, the former president referred to a question posed to President Biden this week about the possibility of Israel striking Iran's nuclear arsenal. When Trump was asked this question, the answer should have been: “Nuke first, then worry about the rest later.”

Trump continued: “We will see what their plans are.” Last Wednesday, Joe Biden said that he opposes Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, in response to the Islamic Republic's massive launch of about 200 missiles towards the Jewish state. “The answer is no,” Joe Biden told reporters when asked if he would support such action by Israel. He added: “We seven agree that the Israelis have the right to respond, but they must respond proportionately,” referring to the other G7 leaders. Donald Trump has so far remained silent about what is happening in the Middle East. He only issued a dismissive statement earlier in the week, holding President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris responsible for the escalation.
