Mexico City. Apple opens its podcast creator program, and they will be able to receive commissions of up to 50 percent on subscriber payments to their programs.
Apple’s affiliate program allows podcast creators to access stats and marketing functions – in email or social networks – as well as earn commissions every time a user subscribes to a paid Apple Podcasts program, as Apple states on its website.
The operation of this program is based on the use of an affiliate code that is placed in the user’s channel, so that the user receives commissions of up to 50 percent for all subscription purchases made through the links he shared.
This newness comes before, as Apple previously announced, in May of this year, as new subscriptions to its Apple Podcasts service begin, where each creator can charge the access rate he deems appropriate.
Direct income from subscriptions to premium content on Apple Podcasts is separate from affiliate commissions, through which users can promote their own programs or offerings to others.
Among the ways Apple accepts to earn commissions from podcast subscriptions, in addition to links, are Apple Podcasts bookmarks, use of app logos or icons, embedded web player, QR codes, or plain text.
Interested users can now apply to Apple to be a part of this affiliate program by filling out a form on their website.
