How to catch Shiny Alolan Geodude in Pokémon GO

Shiny Pokémon are being added to Pokémon GO all the time, and Shiny Alolan Geodude was one of the first Alolan regionals to receive an alternate scheme. This version transforms a dark gray rock Pokémon into a Pokémon with a darker orange tint and dark features.

These colors were carried over to the final evolution of the Golem. So even though the orange isn’t quite as deep, it’s still a great addition to your glitter ensemble. But first, you have to find one, and with Pokémon GO Community Day in May 2022 fast approaching, now is the perfect time to grab one.

Pokémon GO – How to get Shiny Alolan Geodude

Admittedly, catching a Shiny Alolan Geodude in Pokémon GO will take a lot of luck, and there are several ways to increase that chance under the right circumstances. One of them would be to increase the size of the catch.

Every time you encounter a Geodude, you will have a chance of Shiny, even if the overall probability is low. Therefore, your chances increase proportionally with more capture attempts.

When you see the Alolan Geodude on the map, you can click and start the encounter, and the colors will appear immediately. You don’t need to catch a pokemon to know if it’s shiny or not.

To increase your chances of catching shine, you can use Incense Lures or Poké Stop Lures to attract more Geodudes. This cheat will only work if Alolan Geodude is part of the in-game rotations.

However, with the community day for Alolan Geodude about to begin and the GO Festival just around the corner, there will be plenty of opportunities to pick up the shiniest.

Completing quests related to Alolan Geodude will give you a relatively high chance of being brilliant in every encounter. But, of course, the possibilities will decrease as the events unfold and the geode finding will become rare.

May 2022 Pokémon GO Community Day – Start Date and Time

Next Community Day will be your best chance to get your Shiny Graveler and Golem with an Electric High School. The event will take place on May 21, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.

There is usually about six hours during the Community Day event where players can participate in pickup and research.

However, this time players will only have a few hours to get all the Rock Pokémon they need, with Geodude’s highlight. Then you can use the ticket to continue your rewards.
