Officials from sports car maker Porsche traveled to the United States late last year to discuss potential joint ventures with iPhone maker Apple and other technology companies, Porsche’s CEO said Friday.

“We already have Apple CarPlay, we’re going to expand that,” CEO Oliver Blum said Friday during a video conference on the automaker’s annual results.

He said that Porsche and Apple have traditionally collaborated closely and “on the same page,” but added that it was too early to make decisions about future projects.

Bloom also said Porsche was considering entering Formula 1, but said no decision had been made.

German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported in January that Volkswagen’s board of directors will decide at the end of February whether its luxury brands Audi and Porsche will join Formula 1.
