Range Rover Sport - Car Monitor

Like its predecessor, the Range Rover Sport is based on the technical base of the Range Rover, but the body receives its own design. The differences are especially evident in the rear: the vertical taillights in Range are replaced by the horizontal lights in Sport. This gives a more aggressive streak.

The Sport is based on the same platform as Range Rover, and therefore has the same wheelbase, but the denser chassis keeps the overall length under 5 metres. Luggage volume ranges from a minimum of 657 liters to a maximum of 1391 liters. There is no third row of seats. This is not the only difference between the interior of the Range Rover and the sports car: the steering wheel and the center console also get a special design.

Electrician?

The Range Rover Sport will be offered in petrol and diesel versions, with a plug-in hybrid and 100% electric motor. We’d be surprised if the SVR didn’t have a successor, with the electric sport still slated for 2024.

The PHEV versions of the Range Rover Sport, namely the P440e and P510e, are based on a 38.2 kWh battery. This results in an electric range of about 115 km and an electric top speed of 140 km/h. The maximum load is 3 tons. The Range Rover Sport comes standard with aerodynamic suspension, with 48-volt active roll balancing and four-wheel steering, providing comfort and dynamism. Land Rover also offers the Stormer Handling Pack, standard on the P510e and P530 models, which combines Dynamic Response Pro with an Electronic Active Differential and Torque Stabilization by Braking. The big news is cruise control for off-road use, because yes, the Range Rover Sport is and still is a true Land Rover.
