Qualcomm recently announced the new processor that will be used by high-end phones. However, the chip manufacturer has officially launched the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 which will allow mid-range phones to incorporate cameras of up to 200MP.
The new chip lacks some features of its high-end counterpart, such as a “Prime” performance core, but it does include the latest ARM CPU hardware and an upgraded GPU. It also includes four Cortex-A710 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores.
Qualcomm claims that the new chip handles graphics 20% faster than the Snapdragon 778G, while AI tasks perform 30% better on the new platform. It is also indicated that the file Adreno Frame Motion Engine Double the frame rate in games while maintaining the same power consumption as the SD 778G. Additionally, it can handle up to 16GB of LP-DDR5 RAM.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 also gets a Snapdragon X62 5G modem capable of 4.4Gbps download speeds with dual standby (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G connectivity. WiFi 6E is also available, as is Bluetooth 5.3.
Finally, its technology Qualcomm Spectra Triple ISP provides support for capturing images up to 200MP and recording 4K HDR video. It is also possible to capture 10-bit HEIC images and record HEVC video.
