Xiaomi Watch Color 2 launch set on September 27; Circular display banter, 117 sports modes

The Xiaomi Watch Color 2 is launched along with the Xiaomi Civi smartphone in China on Monday, September 27, the company announced online. The new smartwatch will be the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Watch Color that was launched in December 2019. Just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 is annoying to come with a circular screen. The smartwatch will have a list of watch faces and sports modes. It will also come with different colored wrist straps to choose from.

Share Xiaomi teaser picture On Weibo to announce the launch date of the Xiaomi Watch Color 2. The smartwatch will come along with the Xiaomi Civi smartwatch and Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro earbuds at the event scheduled for 2PM AST (11:30AM ET) on September 27 .

The teaser also shows the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 in two different color options. The smartwatch will retain the circular display design of the original Mi Watch Color, as the image shows.

Xiaomi has also announced that the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 will support over 200 watch faces and will come in six different wrist strap versions. Separately, the smartwatch was surprised 117 Sports Mode. Other details about the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 are yet to be revealed.

In 2019, Xiaomi launched Mi Watch Color with features including heart rate tracking and sleep analysis. Introduced in China at CNY 799 (about Rs 9,100) in silver and black and six wrist strap options – along with a premium crocodile leather version.

Mi Watch Color debuted as Mi Watch Revolve in India last year. Came at Rs. 10999 for the individual 46mm variant.

Mi Watch Color (Mi Watch Revolve) specs include a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top and a 420mAh battery. It also supports Bluetooth v5 BLE support and has compatibility with both Android and iOS devices.
