While the device is yet to be commercialized, performance tests of the new MacBook Air M2 are starting to tip their noses – and no doubt some discerning journalists/youtubers who couldn’t resist sharing tests of this new Mac.
In Geekbench 5, the device comes with 16GB of RAM Provides a result From 1899 in single core and 8965 in multi corewhich equals the performance of the MacBook Pro 13″ M2. Both bikes use the exact same chip, which we tested here a few weeks ago.
In practice, the MacBook Pro 13″ M2 should heat up a little less and maintain its performance better thanks to the built-in fan.. Aside from this original – whose usefulness seems somewhat relative – the Pro label is a bit overused, as we’ve seen – the MacBook Air is indeed better in almost every respect!
We recall that The device has been available for pre-order since last Friday, and will go on sale on July 15 specifically. Obviously we’ll be running our usual tests and giving you a full on your new MacBook Air M2!
