A windowless cell, underground. Prison photo Hannibal GaddafiA detainee in Lebanon raises reactions in Libya. The Libyan Ministry of Justice asked the Ministry of Justice in Beirut to release Rais’s son, who was arrested in Lebanon in 2015 on charges of kidnapping Imam Musa al-Sadr, founder of the Lebanese Amal Movement, who disappeared in Libya in August 1978.
In the age of facts… Hannibal Gaddafi was 4-5 years old and is now being held without trial. A spokesman for the Dabaiba government confirmed that the conditions of detention are not an asset to Lebanon. toThe cell appears to be underground and has no natural lighting, only an electric lamp. In an audio recording published by Libyan media, Hannibal complained about prison conditions: “They are in miserable conditions; I can't deal with it anymore. “All this suffering for an operation I know nothing about.”.
Gaddafi's son is married to a Lebanese woman, Alina Skaff, a former model, and he lives with her in Syria as a guest of President Al-Assad, after fleeing Libya in 2011 after the fall and killing of his father. Specifically through his wife's friends, in December 2015, elements linked to Hezbollah convinced Hannibal to give an interview to a Lebanese newspaper. In the encounter, Hannibal was kidnapped and secretly transported to Lebanon, and three days later he was handed over to the Lebanese army, which instead of releasing him, arrested him and referred him to justice. He is accused of concealing information about the disappearance of Musa al-Sadr.
He has been detained in Lebanon since then without trial. He attempted a prolonged hunger strike last July, and after a serious deterioration in his health, he was transferred to the hospital to be force-fed.
According to his lawyer, the Lebanese authorities requested, in exchange for his release, the cancellation of Lebanon’s financial debts with Libya.
This news was confirmed by the Libyan Minister of Justice in the Sarraj government. According to this story, Beirut is demanding the cancellation of Libyan financial deposits in Lebanese banks, frozen since 2011, amounting to about 3 billion dollars.
Hannibal Gaddafi was born in Tripoli on September 20, 1975. He is the fourth son of Muammar Gaddafi and the third son of his second wife, Safia Faskash. He was considered the black sheep of the family, especially after the diplomatic “incident” that occurred in Switzerland on July 24, 2008. when He beat up hotel workers and was held in prison for two days. In response, his father asked the United Nations to dissolve Switzerland.
