A new combo manager has to fix it • Eurogamer.de

Battlefield fans have been criticizing the all-new franchise title for a while now and it looks like EA is reacting. Battlefield 2042 has not been well received everywhere in the community, new narrative director Marcus Leto now wants to fix some problem points.

Towards the end of last year, there was little in Team Battlefield 2042 Changes madeRespawn boss Vince Zampella has become the new head of the franchise and reported in December about ideas for turning Battlefield into an all-encompassing story universe.

Additionally, Halo co-creator Marcus Leto becomes the new narrative director for the shooter title in late 2021. With these new folks, EA is apparently trying to clean up a few pieces after critical votes.

Lehto interacts with a frustrated Battlefield player in a discussion on Twitter. He asks for an explanation from the narrative director, why, in his opinion, Battlefield has changed so much in the wrong direction in the last game. Lichto replied, “I’ll figure it out myself. Then I plan to fix things.”

Apparently, the franchise’s changes seem to factor in her reaction to the criticism, but we don’t yet know what it would look like – and it seems Lehto wasn’t exactly that.

The narrative director also reacts to another comment criticizing the new game’s specialized system, which undermined previous chapters and, according to user Sian, could cause monotonous fights. Perhaps some community members weren’t happy with it and Lihu replied, “I can hear all this loud and clear. Keep up the good work. Thank you very much!”

Lehto also dismisses harsh criticism from the user that EA has neither the motivation nor the skills to make Battlefield 2042 better: “We have the will and the talent. It will take time.” But he also admits: “These things are not that easy.” So it will be interesting to see if, how and when EA soon responds to criticism and ideas from the community.
