AirPods Pro 2 are due out in the fall — and AirPods Max will be colorful

In its current issue Power on the newsletter Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman reports updates on future Apple headphones. AirPods Max shouldn’t have a successor in 2022, but the colors will be changed. The headphones are said to be available in fresh and new colours. Headphones are actually too expensive to use as fashion accessories.

Most interesting are the rumors about AirPods Pro 2: These earbuds should get a new design and support for lossless playback. This is not possible with the current AirPods Pro nor with AirPods Max. Of course, it would be nice if Apple could also support lossless playback on Max.

Apple also reportedly wants to add health features to the AirPods Pro 2. The report does not specify which fitness tracking sensors will be used. A pedometer or a plus scale can be visualized. Perhaps it is also possible to measure the temperature, but this has nothing to do with physical fitness.

Gurman expects Apple to release AirPods Pro 2 in the fall of 2022. This would have given the original AirPods Pro a lifespan of up to 3 years. Mac Life is known to have some AirPods Pros where the batteries are nearly dead. This is the reason for the timely appearance of the second generation.

Your opinion matters

What do you expect from AirPods Pro 2? Do you want the earbuds to come in new colors as well, or is white the only color you’ll accept? Feel free to write something in the comment fields at the bottom of this message. we are happy.
