AMD will release a new privacy app later this year to help keep prying eyes off your computer screen through a new collaboration with eye and head-tracking technology company Eyeware Tech SA.
As part of their collaboration, Eyeware will provide the chipmaker with patent-pending computer vision algorithms and artificial intelligence technology for machine awareness of its new device. AMD Privacy View Request.
The privacy app, which is expected to be available in the first half of 2022, will enable private screen viewing on both laptops and PC screens by dimming or dimming parts of the screen that the user is not currently looking at. PC gamers can also use the Eyeware Beam to control the in-game camera in Microsoft Flight Simulator and other games using realistic head movements while content creators can use the app to broadcast live with an eye-tracker overlay in games to show their viewers where they are looking on the screen.
