Klay Thompson He’s practically ready to get back on track. After a two-and-a-half year absence, the Golden State Warriors star already had a game ready for a potential comeback, and this week it will be the first of 2022.
The Golden State Warriors are optimistic about Thompson He could play next Sunday, January 9, against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The final decision will be made on Friday, when the Warriors return home from a short two-game road trip.
Klay Thompson’s last match was on June 13, 2019, in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. That night he scored 30 points and grabbed five rebounds in three quarters when he ruptured the ACL in his left knee. The Warriors lost that final and the 3-point specialist started to rehab him.
On the verge of recovering to return for the 2020/21 season, he broke the Achilles tendon in his right leg. He suffered one of the toughest injuries an athlete could ever suffer in a row. His healing and mental strength are an example of improvement.
During this season, Thompson was in excellent physical shape and his goal was sound. He’s still that auto-trigger that has scared the rest of the league since he hit the road.
The nightmare is coming to an end for Thompson and all basketball fans. Golden State and the entire NBA will celebrate his comeback.
