CF Montreal kicks off a two-game streak in the American West tonight as they visit the Sounders in Seattle. Currently in third in the East, Wilfried Nancy’s men are trying to sign for a second straight win, after beating Charlotte last Saturday.
The match is broadcast on TVA Sports and live on TVA Sports.
Before facing the LA Galaxy on Monday, Impact has a big order against the Sounders. The CONCACAF Champions League holders have not lost in their last four matches.
“We know they have a good team, but we’re also a good team,” Victor Wanyama said of the Sounders.
“We respect their style and we know they respect ours too. We know it will be a tough match for both teams. It will be a question of who wants it more and I think we will be up to the task,” added the midfielder.
“We’ll do what we normally do. I say that a lot, but whether it’s against Forge FC or against Seattle, we’ll play the same way. After that, there’s opposition and it will dictate the game a little bit, but our state of mind is the same”, via Wilfried Nancy.
This is also the first time since May 31, 2018 that CF Montreal will face the Sounders at Lumen Field. It is also the first duel against this squad since the 2019 campaign. Historically, Bleu-Blanc-Noir has been successful against rivals from Washington State. He’s gone 5-1-2 against them since joining MLS in 2012.
