The Ministry of Education of the Taliban movement in Afghanistan announced the reopening of primary, middle and secondary schools “for male students only” as of tomorrow. The memo, posted on its Facebook page, targets students of public and private institutions and male teachers only, while there is no mention of reopening schools for girls and girls.

Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Xi added that while respecting the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Afghanistan, “we must ensure that all ethnic groups can independently control the country’s future.” Beijing asked “the instigators of the status quo to learn from the past and take responsibility for Afghanistan’s future.”
