Logan Paul made his professional wrestling debut at WrestleMania 38 and defeated the legendary Rey Mysterio. Paul teams up with The Miz to face the father-son duo of Rey and Dominick Mysterio in a tag team match.
Paul continued in the footsteps of Bad Bunny, Pat McAfee and Stephen Amell by delivering merchandise at the Celebrity Crossover Match. The social media star enjoyed a chorus of boos from fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday night. He even walked into the ring wearing the world’s most expensive Pokemon card around his neck.
Paul’s athletic move was on full display as he executed a number of techniques well, including a powerful mid-rope strike, a Powerslam to Dominick, and a suplex to Rey.
Paul also took his licks, particularly the 619 double suck and frog spray near the end of the fight.
The divisive Internet personality drove fans crazy by imitating the behavior and movements of the late Eddie Guerrero, the beloved WWE Champion and Ray’s best friend.
The Miz took advantage of the chaos of the late match, smearing Mysterio and planting him with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win. Paul’s celebration did not last long. The Miz turned on Paul, knocking him down with a final blow that instantly transformed the crowd’s reaction from boos to pure enthusiasm.
WrestleMania 38 is a two-night event that takes place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.
